A block of volcanic stone?

HOW CAN
BE 100% ECO-RESPONSIBLE?

Our volcanic stones come from the Greek island of Gyali. A small open-air quarry located in Europe. Our blocks are unique in that they are manufactured without firing and dried naturally. This makes them entirely recyclable, and means they consume 4 to 7 times less energy to manufacture than any other building block. Unlike other materials such as sand-lime or cellular concrete, which require firing and contain potentially harmful additives, our volcanic stone blocks offer an undeniable ecological advantage.
The entire transport process is designed to minimize the carbon footprint. On the island, the stone pellets are conveyed to the ship by conveyor belt. Maritime transport, which has the lowest ecological impact per ton transported, is preferred. The ships dock directly at our production site in Dunkirk. This eliminates the need for trucks to transport raw materials to the factory.
At ECOLOGE, we understand that nature offers us the best. This conviction guides our choices in the selection of all our materials, including insulation, mortars, coatings and paints.

Cogetherm blocks are designed for efficient installation.

  • Volcanic Stone Mortar:
    - The mortar used has the same composition as the block, in different proportions.
    - It has hydrophobic properties.
    - It helps avoid thermal bridges and ghost joints.
  • Cogetherm installation grid
    - The Cogetherm installation grid facilitates the block installation process.
    - It prevents material waste and improves the airtightness of the construction.
  • Traditional installation:
    - Cogetherm blocks are installed in the traditional way.
    - This is more comfortable for installers, as volcanic stone is lighter than concrete.

The material dries faster than other building blocks, ensuring efficient installation and high performance in terms of insulation and durability. For further information, please contact us.
